Hey y’all!! I want to welcome everyone to my site, Marsh Mud Bitch. I’ve wanted to write about my life and experiences on the Eastern Shore of Virginia for years. My hope for this site is to show others that its “ok” and FUN to live on the fringes. You know , somewhere between “Guy Harvey” and “Shorelife”. I don’t know about you, but I love the shore. Where else can I wake up for work and smell the mud before my first cup of coffee? The shore is awesome and beautiful. Hell, this place ROCKS!!
But sometimes, it’s hard to “live” here. Sometimes, it feels that all the cool stuff is for tourists and people of…..
I have to admit I’ve thought of this site for a couple years now, hemming and hawing, wondering “who the hell is going to read this shit?”. Well after a rough year I decided “who cares?! It might be fun!”.
So in that spirit I offer up my thoughts and experiences for you to read. I’m not sure what direction this will be taking at this time, but I promise to always BE REAL. This is very important to me as I hate reading other blogs that ultimately make you feel “lacking” in some way. I don’t really want to be a recipe site, or a “how to” site, though I will probably post a lot of that because thats what I do. Sometimes things don’t go as planned, I’ll make sure to share those moments as well! I’m not perfect and I don’t want a blog that portrays me as such. I want people to be able to feel comfortable sharing their successes as well as blunders! I also want to show the world some of the wonderful things available to do and experience on the shore. I do need tell you that I will not “watch my mouth”, so bad language can and will occur. And YES, I like the term Bitch. I accept it and wear it with pride! If you feel you are going to be offended by these things this may not be the blog for you. This is my little “spot of the web”. Just like you, I should be free to voice my opinions free from ridicule. BTW, I like to drink, so there will most likely be videos/posts of people imbibing of spirits. Hell, I’ll probably have whole posts about drinking!
I will be posting on hobbies I enjoy and sometimes life in general. Maybe a craft, maybe some food, or maybe I’ll just complain! Who knows!! Of course I could not do this with out some wonderful people in my life! (Don’t worry you’ll meet them!) We have some great things planned to share with those of you that are brave enough to endure this venture with us. We would also LOVE to hear from others! Please feel free to let us know what you would like to see here! Of course remember that I can and WILL put your name to it. 😉
